About Me

Hey! I’m Radin and I want to make the photography process as seamless as possible so you can focus on making memories.

I'm sure you can tell but photography and videography have become a big part of who I am. I've been taking pictures and editing videos as a hobby since at least 2016, when I was 14 years old, on a trip to Indonesia. Like many others, I started simply because I wanted to keep memories of my friends and family. My father's Samsung S5 was the first camera I loved, and for years after that moment, I hopped between friends' cameras, improving as I went.

Now I find myself in Adelaide, South Australia. Far from home and so, so blessed to have a hobby that could spiral into a career. I’m coming up to 10 years in this world, and I don’t plan to stop any time soon.

Lets have a chat :)

Kampungku

My instagram handle is “trkampungku”. Being rather hard to pronounce and difficult to remember, why do I insist on using it?

“Kampungku” A Malay word literally meaning “my village”; it refers to the uniquely Malaysian spirit of home and community.

In the words of my father,

"But it means so much more to me:

Its where I come from; my origin

My neighbourhood, my backyard, my home ground

The place where I grew up

My roots, heritage, culture

Its essence is what makes me, me

It takes all my 6 senses to describe the meaning of Kampungku."

To him and I, it’s a reminder of home - no matter how far away from it we are physically; it’s that space we reserve in our hearts for our friends and family.
